Screen Capture in OSX
Taking screen shots in Apple’s OS X operating system really could not be easier. This video tutorial takes you through three simple keyboard shortcuts that offer different ways to capture elements on your screen.
A quick video tutorial on how to take screen grabs using the OS Shortcuts. The three shortcuts covered :
?? 3 for a screen shot of the entire desktop.
?? 4 for a set of crosshairs that allow you to select the area of the screen you want to grab.
?? 4 (Space) grabs only the window the user clicks.

Add the Control Key to any of those, and the screen shot will be copied to the clipboard rather than saved as a file. Great for pasting directly into Photoshop!

And for those interested in capturing the moves on the screen (e.g. navigating through menus) in a video file, Quicktime X has a built in screen capture feature.
In Quicktime Player go to “File” and select “New Screen Recording”
