I forgot to include the new Apple remote http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC377Z/A?mco=MTM0MTIyMjc#overview which looks considerably better than the plastic version. Just ordered a remote and mouse. 7 Day shipping wait but expect reviews on site.

@rick home server looks like a nice idea but hard to justify, could be good for the office ?

Once again, Jobs releases a MacBook without FireWire. USB2 is inherently inferior, although mostly adequate for most buyers. It tends to lose connection to backup drives at night and can’t handle sustained throughput as well as FireWire. Apple invented FireWire. What the hell is with Jobs?

Oh, and he takes the idea of a no-button mouse to new levels.

What an interesting line up. the Mouse is a must try – interesting push on the technology and good use of the research they’ve already put in. I’m really interested in the Mac Mini Server version… no optical drive just two 500GB hard drives instead. I’d be interested to learn about hosting one’s own server.
