iTunes Account of United States- How to Make it Without Credit Cards
There are some copyright issues, and thus iTunes store is biased towards people in the United States. U.S. people get many perks like movies, TV shows and music – while people from other places can only get podcasts, app store and some other stuff. Plus there is some U.S. only content that non U.S. people cannot access.
If you are not from U.S. and you want to access all the good stuff, you can make a U.S. account. Though you would need a U.S. credit card for that, but we can work our way around that.
Step 1. Set the stage
In case you do not have iTunes account, just leave this section and go to the next one. But in case you already have an account and it’s a non U.S. one, then you need to follow some extra steps.
- Sign into the iTunes store to change your country. Now click on your Apple ID that is on the right upper corner and select “Account”.
- Enter your Apple Id there along with the password and hit Return
- Go to the bottom part of Account info and click the option to change country.
- Select U.S. from the list and continue
- There will be many content options now. DO NOT click on continue to create a new account.
- Now log off from your account. Go to step 2
Step 2. Create your account
Do not follow the official process. Instead, download any free item (song, app etc) from iTunes store. Now when you download, it will prompt you to sign in. DO NOT log in using your current Apple Id. Select the option to set up a new account.
Fill the form fields. In the list of credit card options, there will be an option of “None”. This is a great method as it works for people of all countries. Now there is another problem that you need to counter, and that is getting a U.S. address.
Of course you can fill a fake address, but there is no point in that when you can get a U.S. address for free. For this, you can register at hop.shop.go and get a U.S. account. Now you would need a Paypal address.
The final part is to verify the Apple id by going to your email and clicking on the link. Now you can enjoy free items available to only U.S. iTunes customers.
Have you tried registering for a U.S. iTunes account? Follow these steps and let U.S. know how it went.
