		<description>I received a Joby Gorillapod SLR for my birthday last year, and I can honestly say that it was probably one of the most useful gifts I have ever received.
Trusting the Gorillapod to take the weight of an SLR camera was a bit unnerving at first, but after adjusting the legs a little, even using it freestanding was completely solid. Even with a 75-300 telephoto lens attached, it was pretty darned steady. The big bonus is that, unlike a normal tripod, you can carry it anywhere and attach it almost anywhere.
Now, when my wife and I are on holiday, we can actually take some pictures of ourselves that we actually like.</description>
