UK iPads Shipping

Many UK customers who pre-ordered the Apple iPad are waking this morning to emails saying their device has shipped. There is little chance this will make any difference to the predicted delivery date of 28th May as Apple will instruct the carriers to hold deliveries to that date.

A recent report stated the US had completely sold out of the 3G model and very few of the wifi models were currently available in Apple stores.

Anyone who hasn’t ordered an iPad is looking at a June delivery date according to the Apple website. Some websites are suggesting this is due to limited supply but given 28th May is a Friday even in supply was in abundance the delivery date is still going to be June !
