NetNewsWire for iPhone 2.0

NetNewsWire for iPhone 2.0

Today sees the release if NetNewsWire 2.0 for iPhone and like the desktop version now offers full sync with Google Reader rather than NewsGator.

I have been using both the desktop and iPhone version of NetNewsWire for about a year now and they have both completely changed the way I read my RSS subscriptions.

netnewsVersion 2.0 of the iPhone application offers not only a new icon but an improved and much more attractive user interface than version 1.0 with support of read counts, favicons and the ability to hide feeds on the mobile device.

Having moved to the beta of NetNewsWire Desktop when the Newsgator sync support ceased at the end of August I found myself searching for a iPhone RSS application that offered Google Reader sync.

As a result I now use Byline RSS reader on my iPhone but perhaps NetNewsWire 2.0 will make me reconsider this in the weeks ahead.

NetNewsWire for iPhone comes in two versions with the difference being NetNewsWire displays ads from The Deck; NetNewsWire Premium does not.

NetNewsWire Premium is at an introductory price of just £1.19.
