Cashier for iOS App Review
If you are running your own business then you are going to need a way to manage your sales which is why it is fortunate that we live in such a technologically driven age because it is now entirely possible to do this using little more than an iOS app. Of course, apps vary in quality so you need to make sure you choose carefully as this is not a task to be taken lightly. Cashier is one of these point of sale apps and it is fully formed with plenty of features to suit your needs. But is this the right one for your business? Cashier is available now for iOS from the App Store and it is completely free.
If you are looking for a POS solution then cashier could be the one, although it is not the best app of this nature out there, but it does have a lot going for it. First of all, it is free to download and it does allow for a free trial but when that is over you will have to start paying monthly fees. Of course, by that point you will have a good idea of whether it is worth your while and it is not overly expensive.
The first thing you will need to do is enter various details about your company in order to allow Cashier too function properly. You will also need to sign up on its site but this is a simple process and also free. During this process you can also add further information that will be featured on your receipts and once that is done you can get to work adding products. This is done by department and category if such organisation is necessary, otherwise you can group everything as one, depending on your business. Other options include tax and quantity so you can enter the ones that apply to you.
A great feature of the app is the way you can keep track of a register and integrate it with your iOS device, in turn using your device as a sort of register in its own right. While the app is best suited to the iPad screen, the interface is presented in such a way that it also works perfectly well on an iPhone. The interface is also very user-friendly for new sales and you can either scan barcodes with the right attachment or take a photo of them with the device camera. The controls are satisfyingly intuitive although there is a lot to take in when you first get started with it.
Cashier is a decent app overall, if not the best one on the market for this purpose. It can be used for free although you will find the features are very limited and for the best package you will need to subscribe and pay for it. but if you need a POS app for your business Cashier will give you everything you need, it just may take some getting used to.
