Apple Delay New Remote?
I have just received an email to inform me the new version of the Apple remote I ordered won’t be shipping as planned and now has a two to four week wait.
I orginally ordered the device last week when it indicated a five day shipping time.
The new remote looks brilliant, especially given our white AppleTV remote is playing up. I am really hoping it is closer to the two weeks rather than four.
Anyone else in the same position ? I really hope I don’t receive an email about the new Magic Mouse I ordered too.
Update
Despite suggesting the remote won’t be dispatched until 20-28th November I have just received an email to say mine has been dispatched. I can’t wait.

I have never had an order delayed by Apple, I guess this is such a new product perhaps demand has stripped supply ? Anyway, something to look forward to when Apple do get it out.

This is the exact reason as to why 99% of the time I go to my local Apple Store and buy from there, mainly because whenever I order online I normally get some sort of shipping delay, or end up noticing huge delays within the dispatch/shipping. I ordered an original Apple Remote from Amazon some time ago, and it got here within 2 days, why can’t Apple ever do this themselves? I do think this is their major let down, ok yes they’re a huge company, but so is Amazon, it’s worth pointing out that maybe if Apple improved shipping times and delivery times, they’d get even more custom than what they currently do.
